POMPANO BEACH – The 28 story Waldorf Astoria Residences at 1350 S. Ocean Blvd. has reached a major milestone, with crews completing the building’s vertical frame during a recent “topping out” ceremony.
City leaders, including Mayor Rex Hardin, Commissioner Beverly Perkins, and Commissioner Alison Fournier joined developers Related Group and Merrimac Ventures as a palm tree was lifted to the 308 foot peak a South Florida tradition.
The oceanfront tower, now 95% sold, marks a turning point for Pompano’s beachfront, with completion set for summer 2027 as work shifts to interiors and glass installation.
