City Hall Project Heads to Second Review as Downtown Plan Advances

City News Pompano Beach

POMPANO BEACH – A proposed new City Hall and public parking garage is set for its second review at today’s city meeting, marking another step forward in the city’s sweeping downtown redevelopment.

The project, led by RocaPoint Partners under a master development agreement with the city, calls for a four-story, 116,000-square-foot City Hall building and a seven-story parking garage on the northwest corner of West Atlantic Boulevard and North Dixie Highway.

Plans include a new Commission Chambers, meeting space, outdoor gathering areas, and enhanced pedestrian access through a shaded plaza and elevated walkway connecting the structures.

City officials say the development is designed to serve both government operations and the public, while anchoring future growth in the downtown core.

The proposal was previously reviewed by the Development Review Committee on April 15 and returns today as part of a series of approvals tied to zoning adjustments and broader infrastructure plans for the area.
