In a move to meet the growing healthcare needs of South Florida, Holy Cross Health is set to open a new Free-Standing Emergency Department and comprehensive outpatient medical clinic in Deerfield Beach. The ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Friday, May 8, at noon, with guided facility tours to follow.
As Broward County’s population has expanded from 100,000 in 1950 to nearly two million today, the demand for accessible healthcare has intensified. Holy Cross Health’s new facility aims to bridge this gap by offering a seamless integration of emergency and outpatient services under one roof. This approach not only brings essential services closer to residents but also ensures clarity and efficiency in healthcare delivery.
The Deerfield Beach campus is designed with patient-centered care in mind, featuring separate, fully functional emergency and outpatient services. The emergency department will provide 24-hour care with advanced diagnostic imaging and a dedicated ambulance access, while the outpatient clinic will offer a range of specialties, including cardiology and gynecology.
Strategically located at the northern edge of Broward County, this facility will also serve residents of Boca Raton and surrounding areas. By repurposing an existing building on Federal Highway, Holy Cross Health maintains a community-focused approach, embedding healthcare directly into the neighborhood fabric.
With a $41 million investment, the 25,000-square-foot facility represents a thoughtful, data-driven expansion strategy. It underscores Holy Cross Health’s commitment to delivering high-quality, accessible care while responding to evolving population needs.

As the community anticipates the opening of this state-of-the-art medical center, it promises to be a significant step forward in healthcare accessibility for South Florida residents.
