Fort Lauderdale United FC and United Way Broward have announced a partnership that will connect professional soccer with mentoring, youth activities and community service across Broward County. Called “United For Good,” the collaboration will involve the club’s players, staff and supporters in programs serving students, families, veterans and other residents.
The partnership will also be featured during Fort Lauderdale United’s home match against Tampa Bay Sun FC on Friday, Nov. 6. A portion of all ticket sales will benefit United Way Broward.
Supporting Students Beyond the Soccer Field
According to the club’s partnership announcement, players will have opportunities to engage with students through United Way Broward’s ReadingPals and Community Partnership Schools initiatives. Those visits are intended to give young people opportunities to hear about players’ experiences and receive encouragement as they pursue their own goals.
Youth soccer clinics are also planned, offering children another setting to develop friendships, participate in physical activity and build confidence. The organizations describe the partnership as an ongoing effort that will extend beyond a single match.

Community Service and Veteran Support
The collaboration includes plans for quarterly service projects, creating opportunities for fans and community partners to volunteer. It will also bring attention to health initiatives and MISSION UNITED, United Way Broward’s program supporting veterans and their families.
United Way Broward says the partnership will help connect residents with resources and introduce soccer supporters to ways they can participate in its community work. For Broward families, the planned activities offer several entry points for involvement, from school-based engagement to youth sports and volunteer service.
November 6 Match Will Benefit United Way Broward
The first United For Good match is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at Amerant Bank Field at Nova Southeastern University in Davie. The club’s official ticket page lists the venue at 7510 SW 30th Street.
Planned activities include a player walkout with children from a partner school, special player warmup shirts and a halftime check presentation benefiting United Way Broward. Representatives from the nonprofit will also share information about volunteering and community resources.

How Residents Can Participate
Residents can purchase seats through the official United For Good ticket page. Ticket prices and seating availability may change.
