City Giving Away $200 Gift Cards for COVID-19 Vaccines

Program Begins on July 12th Through September 30th The City of Pompano Beach through American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding is distributing $200 Visa gift cards to residents who became fully vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine after June 22, 2021 when the City Commission approved the use of the ARPA funds. If you received your first Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 shot before June 22nd and received or will receive your second Pfizer or Moderna shot after June 22nd , you are still eligible to receive the $200 gift card. One dose Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 shots must be received after June 22nd in order to be eligible. The distribution of Visa gift cards will be on a first come, first serve basis and will be available while supplies last. The Incentive Program ends on September 30th . “The health and safety of our residents is our number one priority”, said Mayor Rex Hardin. “This incentive program is designed to get as many people fully vaccinated in Pompano Beach as possible to help insure our City is protected from this contagious and deadly disease”. On July 12th when the program begins, residents must complete and submit an application to the City’s Office of Housing and Urban Improvement through the link below attesting to having received all required doses of the Covid-19 vaccine after June 22, 2021. Proof of residency is required by uploading a copy of your Driver’s License or any other legal form of Photo ID showing City Address. Also required is a copy of the COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card from the Center for Disease Control (CDC). The City’s Fire Department will be verifying proof of vaccination through the Florida Shots Database as maintained by the CDC. The link to apply is on the City of Pompano’s website.
