Broward County has some good pretty good schools, and Pompano Beach topped the list, according to the 2021 edition of the “Best High Schools in America” by World Report and U.S. News. Pompano Beach High School ranked within the top 300 high schools nationally, and number 21 in the state. Atlantic Technical High School in Coconut Creek ranked in the top 800 and 44 in the state. A total of 17,857 high schools were ranked in all 50 states and in the District of Columbia. A total of 602 high schools in Florida were ranked based on: reading and math proficiency, achievement gaps, college readiness, reading and math performance, and graduation rates.
