Arc Broward Celebrates Inclusive Employment at 4th Annual InspHired Awards

Arc Broward is set to host its 4th Annual InspHired Awards on October 23 at the Chateau Mar Golf Resort in Lauderhill. This event honors individuals with disabilities and the employers who champion their inclusion in the workforce, marking National Disability Employment Awareness Month with a strong community focus.

The InspHired Awards, presented by UKG, bring together business leaders, community advocates, and residents from across Broward County to recognize those making significant strides in workforce diversity. Arc Broward’s initiative not only celebrates these achievements but also supports its workforce programs, ensuring individuals with disabilities can thrive in careers that foster self-sufficiency.

“Our annual InspHired Awards Luncheon is an opportunity to honor the local employers who are paving the way for adults with disabilities to contribute meaningfully to the workforce here in Broward County,” said Julie Price, Arc Broward president and CEO. She emphasized the importance of celebrating the talents and efforts of their graduates and workforce participants.

This year’s honorees include exceptional individuals and organizations such as Antonio “Tony” Valdez, Mary N. Porter Student Chef of the Year, and Pompano Beach Service Plaza, UKG Employer Partner of the Year. The event will also recognize training sites like Abandoned Pet Rescue in Fort Lauderdale and the City of Coral Springs for their contributions.

For the first time, the luncheon will be hosted at the Chateau Mar Golf Resort, which partners with Arc Broward for its Hospitality Operations Training Program. This collaboration provides hands-on experience to participants, equipping them with essential skills in housekeeping, food and beverage, and guest services. The program aims to boost not only technical abilities but also soft skills such as communication and professionalism.

“Arc Broward’s partnership with Chateau Mar demonstrates how employers can work with us to help develop a skilled workforce while creating paths to future employment,” Price added.

The event is supported by a range of sponsors, including Amazon, Memorial Healthcare System, and Bank of America, ensuring a wide-reaching impact. Individual tickets are available for $100, with proceeds supporting Arc Broward’s programs.
