POMPANO BEACH — Nearly every chair was filled Sunday evening as music lovers packed the beautiful outdoor courtyard at the historic Ali Cultural Arts Center for another memorable edition of Soulful Sundays.
Headlined by Ronnie V. & The Valentine Band, the performance had the audience singing along, dancing and celebrating timeless soul, R&B, funk and jazz. The monthly concert series continues to draw residents from across Broward County, offering an intimate outdoor concert experience in one of Pompano Beach’s most treasured cultural spaces.
The evening offered more than live music. Before and after the show, guests explored the Ali Cultural Arts Center’s gallery, where “I Am My Ancestors,” a new exhibition by Will Simpson (Timelessartz), is on display. The collection honors Black heritage, resilience and creativity through bold, thought-provoking works that complement the center’s mission of celebrating Black arts and culture.

The music continues next month with the Derek Mack Band, performing on Sunday, Aug. 9, as the Soulful Sundays series returns to the Ali Cultural Arts Center. Tickets are $10 and must be purchased in advance.
