Improvements Coming to Mitchell Moore Park

Pompano Beach City is planning to make improvements to Mitchell Moore Park, 901 NW 10th Street. City staff is looking for approval on construction for the Mitchell Moore Park Improvements project. According to the memo to commission, the firm will provide construction services at a set fee of $2,831,880.00.

The project is included in the first phase of the GO Bond project. Before this project, there was an original plan to replace grass fields with artificial turfs, add bleachers to the recently installed ones, add fencing, upgrade the scoreboard, and upgrade existing sports lighting. There were also plans to replace the floor and renovate the front desk in the community center. Now that the Mitchell Moore Park project is included in the GO Bond Project, additional improvements will be made including synthetic turf fields, two baseball diamonds, MUSCO sports lighting equipment, and possibly an outdoor fitness center.
