Enjoy scarecrow building, pumpkin carving, line dancing, a petting zoo, hayrides, food vendors, and pony rides at the free Fall Festival in Margate.

Trunk and Treat – Fort Lauderdale Oct. 24, 5 to 7:30 p.m. Christ Church, 4845 NE 25 Ave., Fort Lauderdale Cars and trucks will be decorated, and candy will be given out to kids and families. There will also be bounce houses, live music, and snacks for sale. Email for more information.

Boo Bash: Creepy Carnival – Pompano Beach Oct. 29, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Pompano Community Park, 1660 NE 10th St.

Pumpkin Patch – Boca Raton

Oct. 30 and Oct. 31, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Boca Raton Pumpkin Patch at Mizner Park Amphitheater, 590 Plaza Real

This family friendly event is for little ghosts and goblins. There will be a magic show, Halloween crafts and giveaways. There will also be candy. Costume masks are allowed for small children only.
