POMPANO BEACH, FL — On Thursday, December 14, Mack “Bear” Harper became the proud, appreciative owner of a new 2024 Honda CR-V LX, courtesy by Holman, Eta Nu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Eta Nu Education Foundation, Inc. and C.O.R.E. Foundation, Inc.
Harper won the 1st place, grand prize of the annual car raffle during a live drawing on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at the Winter White Yacht Affair hosted by the nonprofit organizations. As the grand prize winner, he had a choice between a Honda Accord LX or a Honda CR-V LX.
Harper was presented his new ride by Don King of Holman Honda, Harry Harrell and Harrison Jones of Eta Nu, and Yolanda Brown and Damarshall Moore of C.O.R.E. Foundation.
In addition to the grand prize, two other lucky winners took home vacation packages, including: 2nd place winner Randy Wimberly who won a 4-day Caribbean Cruise for two on Virgin Voyages sponsored by Passport Pleasures Luxury Travel and 3rd place winner Genae Frazier who won a two-night stay for two at Hilton Resorts World Bimini.
“With nearly 6,000 raffle tickets sold, not only is Mack Harper and those who won the prizes considered winners, but our youth who will benefit from scholarships, youth mentoring, education and STEM programs – they’re the real winners. Eta Nu Education Foundation, Inc. and C.O.R.E. Foundation, Inc. hosts the annual car raffle and several fundraisers to raise funds for scholarships, youth mentoring, and community service programs.
