Chanceé Lundy Honored on NAACP Advancement List

Black Girls and Women’s Consortium, Executive Director Chanceé Lundy has been named to the prestigious NAACP Advancement List, Class of 2026. This recognition highlights her leadership and dedication to empowering Black girls and women across the South.

The NAACP Advancement List honors influential professionals who are shaping culture, transforming markets, and building a more equitable future. Under Lundy’s guidance, the Southern Black Girls and Women’s Consortium has made significant investments in young Black women and femme-identifying individuals, often supporting grassroots organizations that are frequently overlooked.

The Consortium invites the community to join their upcoming State Networking Meeting on Tuesday, September 29th, at 8 PM EST. This virtual gathering will connect individuals across 13 Southern states, fostering idea-sharing and relationship-building.

Keniah King, a 24-year-old first-generation college student and Youth Ambassador for the Consortium, is a testament to the impact of Lundy’s work. Majoring in Psychology at Prairie View A&M University, King leads the Sisters Improving Sisterhood (SIS) initiative, focusing on mentorship and leadership development. She credits the Consortium with giving her a platform and instilling confidence and purpose.

King shared, “Growing up, I didn’t always have someone reminding me that my voice mattered. Being able to become that person for someone else is a blessing I never take for granted.”

The Consortium’s Joy & Justice Tour is also wrapping up with final stops in Columbia, SC, and Charlotte, NC. This initiative has spread joy and justice across several cities, offering community events filled with fun, music, and empowerment.

As the Consortium continues its mission, community support remains crucial. Donations and volunteer efforts are welcomed, with many companies matching contributions to double the impact.
