As Americans prepare to celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary of independence, South Florida communities are gearing up for a weekend filled with fireworks, live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and patriotic celebrations. From the beachfront festivities in Pompano Beach and Deerfield Beach to large-scale events in Miami, residents and visitors will have several opportunities to gather and celebrate the Fourth of July this year.
The City of Pompano Beach will host its annual July 4th Fireworks Spectacular on Saturday, July 4. Festivities begin at 5 p.m. near the Fisher Family Pier with live entertainment and conclude with a fireworks show at approximately 9 p.m. The Atlantic Boulevard Bridge will close to vehicle traffic shortly before the fireworks display. Deerfield Beach’s annual Fourth of July Celebration will commemorate America’s 250th birthday with live entertainment, food vendors, family activities, and a fireworks display over the ocean at 9 p.m. Miami-Dade County will host a Fourth of July Celebration at Tropical Park from approximately 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event will feature live music, family-friendly activities, and a fireworks display at the conclusion of the celebration. Admission is free.
South Florida residents will have several opportunities to celebrate Independence Day this year, from beachfront fireworks displays in Pompano Beach and Deerfield Beach to family-friendly festivities in Miami. Officials encourage attendees to arrive early, expect traffic delays near event venues, and review local event information before heading out to celebrate.
