Pompano Beach is working to get its residents the COVID-19 vaccine.
Vaccines are available at the E. Pat Larkins Community Center, 520 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The vaccination site will prioritize Pompano Beach residents. The site will be open Monday through Wednesday and Fridays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The vaccinations will be given inside the community center by Milo Care. The Pompano Citi Center, 1955 N. Federal Highway, Pompano Beach, is now also a COVID-19 vaccination site, according to The Florida Department of Health in Broward County. The site will be open five days a week to serve the residents of northwest Pompano. Residents can register for an appointment by calling 866-201-6313 or 844-252-2003 for TTY users, or by visiting www.myvaccine.fl.gov. All eligible individuals will be contacted when an appointment is available for them.
“I’m especially happy to see shots given in the northeast part of Broward County which will make it easier for area residents,” said Pompano Beach Mayor Rex Hardin in a Florida Department of Health in Broward County press release.
The site will be open Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and closed Thursdays and Sundays.
According to the Health Department, anyone ages 16 and up is eligible to receive the vaccine.

CVS, Publix, Walgreens, and Winn-Dixie also offer the COVID-19 vaccine.
