Music can take you many places, and one local music organization wants to use their its music to make a trip to London a reality.

The Sounds of Succes Marching Band promotes musical education and opportunities for South Florida students interested in music, 10-23 years of age. They are looking for young musicians with and without experience to perform at London Band Week, starting June 23. London Band Week is by invitation only, and is “universally recognized as part of the Queen’s Honours and Awards,” according to its website.

Attendees will enjoy a week in London, enjoying sites like Buckingham Palace and Hampton Court. There will also be a sectional music master class and a grand performance.

The Riveria Beach-based organization is looking for musicians from Pompano Beach and surrounding areas. Their goal is to expand throughout the entire state of Florida and beyond.

Music education is imperative in our community, and helps ensure a bright future for our youth. Students that study music receive higher grades, learn valuable social skills, build self-esteem, and experience joy with creativity that lasts a lifetime.

Whether you or your child has experience playing music, or simply a desire to learn, contact Antoine K. Miller at 561-331-5038 or by email at Soundsofsuccessmusic@gmail.com.

The organization is also currently looking for sponsors to help the marching band achieve its goal for its entire 2022 and 2023 seasons.
