Shooting in Pompano Beach That Left Two Males Dead Under Investigation

Villij News was on the scene of a shooting that occurred around 10:30 a.m. Thursday in an apartment building located at 300 SE 11th Avenue in Pompano Beach.

Earlier that morning at around 7:30 a.m. neighbors heard an escalating argument between a man and woman that live on the third floor, which eventually continued outside. At around 10:30 a.m. sources say they heard over two dozen gunshots that left two males dead. Helicopter footage showed two bodies covered in yellow tarp, lying on the ground between two of the complex buildings.

“Gun violence like this usually happens west of Dixie Highway,” said one woman who lives across the street. “Seems like it’s getting closer and closer to the beach.” 

Two males were in custody for questioning and then later released. The scene has been contained and there is no threat to the public, said BSO deputies. No further details are available.
