Suspects Arrested in Tragic Florida Turnpike Double Homicide of Mother and Daughter

In a significant breakthrough, Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives, alongside BSO’s V.I.P.E.R. unit, have detained Antoine Harris and Jaquan Thomas for the double homicide that took place on the Florida Turnpike last June. This tragic incident claimed the lives of Beatrice Saintvil and her young daughter, Janelle Souffrant. Following an extensive months-long investigation, warrants were issued for their arrest. On December 20, Harris was apprehended in Miami Gardens, marking a pivotal step toward justice. Meanwhile, Thomas, already incarcerated in Georgia on unrelated charges, awaits extradition to Broward County. Both face two counts of first-degree murder.
