FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — South Florida artists Yung Miami, Trina, and Loe Shimmy are teaming up to spread holiday cheer with the 2nd Annual Caresha Gives Toy Giveaway, set for Sunday, Dec. 21, 2025, at Reverend Samuel Deleveoe Memorial Park.

The free, family-friendly event will run from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and aims to support local families during the holiday season by providing free toys for children from newborns to age 15. Designed as a drive-thru experience, the giveaway also includes complimentary food, face painting, and photos with Santa.

Organizers say the event is about more than celebrity appearances—it’s about easing real pressures many families face this time of year. The initiative is supported by community partners and local leaders, including Nana’s House Behavioral Rehabilitation and Robert McKinzie.

Jason Jimeno, event organizer and founder of Nana’s House Behavioral Rehabilitation, said the goal is to offer relief and reassurance to parents navigating rising costs.

“With inflation and everyday expenses rising, too many families are being forced to choose between necessities and creating holiday memories for their children,” Jimeno said. “This Caresha Gives event is about easing that burden, even if just for one day, and reminding parents they are not alone.”

Caresha “Yung Miami” Brownlee said the cause is deeply personal.

“Growing up, I know what it feels like when the holidays are heavy and families are doing their best with what they have,” she said. “Caresha Gives is my way of showing love to the kids and letting parents know the community sees them.”

Now in its second year, Caresha Gives continues to grow as a symbol of community resilience—bringing together artists, nonprofits, public officials, and volunteers to uplift families and create moments of joy for local youth.
