South Florida recently became the hub for health and wellness discussions as the Black Health Summit took center stage, aiming to make a significant impact across the region. Held in Miami, the summit gathered healthcare professionals, community leaders, and residents to address pressing health issues affecting Black communities.
The event, organized by South Florida Hospital News & Healthcare Report, focused on promoting equitable healthcare access and spotlighted innovative strategies to tackle health disparities. Sessions covered a range of topics, from mental health to chronic disease prevention, with an emphasis on actionable solutions.
“Creating sustainable health improvements requires a community-wide effort,” said Dr. Lisa Thompson, a keynote speaker at the summit. “Our goal is to empower individuals with knowledge and resources to lead healthier lives.”
