Pompano Beach and Terrasini, Italy, Form Friendship City Partnership

Pompano Beach, FL – The City of Pompano Beach has officially entered into a Friendship City partnership with Terrasini, Italy, forging a new international alliance to promote tourism, culture, education, and economic development, signed by Pompano Beach Mayor Rex Hardin and Terrasini Mayor Giosue Maniaci, aims to strengthen connections between the two coastal communities.  

Bridging Cultures and Economies 

The agreement focuses on three key areas: tourism: encouraging travel exchanges, cruise tourism, and nautical sports; culture: supporting joint initiatives in music, dance, theater, film, and art exhibitions; and education: facilitating partnerships between high schools and colleges for student exchanges. 

Both cities share a strong connection to the ocean and cultural heritage, city officials believe it will help highlight Pompano Beach’s growing arts and business scene while creating new international opportunities.
