Pompano Beach – Blanche Ely House Museum hosted a wonderful event on Thursday, June 27. The Living Room Concert Series is a series of musical events held on the fourth Thursday of each month, where local artists from South Florida are given the opportunity to showcase their intimate performances.

This segment featured Karina Iglesias, a Honduran singer born and raised in Miami with a powerful voice and incredible range. Her music style is influenced by a diverse range of musical genres, including rhythm & blues, boleros, gospel and hip-hop, creating a unique and eclectic sound. The Living Room Concert drew attendees from Pompano Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and other nearby cities, bringing them together to appreciate the history and contributions of Blanche Ely.

The audience was invited to explore the history of Blanche Ely and her home, all while listening to the beautiful music. As guests wandered through the house museum, they learned about Ely’s significant impact on the community and her legacy, which continues to inspire. The combination of cultural enrichment and incredible singing made for an unforgettable evening.
