
McNair Park has gotten brand new blue facelift. The Collier City park recently got a multi-million upgrade, which was unveiled at a ribbon cutting ceremony June 21.
The renovation of the park located at 951 NW 27 Ave includes a new synthetic football/soccer field with Pompano Cowboy Blue turf. It also includes sports lighting, an eight-lane Olympic-size running track, an upgraded basketball court, new playground equipment, a mew 6,000 square foot clubhouse with exercise equipment and a private yoga room, an additional 270 parking spaces and a new concession area.
The McNair Park project is part of the city’s G.O. Bond initiative. The city’s parks and recreation department received a grant from the Health Foundation of South Florida for $71,225 and matching funds of $146,155 from the G.O. Bond to help complete the project.
