Today, our very survival depends on our ability to stay awake and know after every missed shot there’s still life.
The text says in Psalms 55 verse 6,
“Oh, that if I had wings like a dove, I would fly away and be at rest.”

Understanding life is like watching a basketball game, you’re going to make some shots, and you’re going to miss some shots.
David in our text felt like his enemies were closing in on him, and instead of seeing God’s hand in, on, and around his life, he wanted wings like a dove to fly away from his perceived problems.

Life is filled with missed shots:
· There’s job opportunity missed shots.
· There’s entrepreneurial missed shots.
· There’s political missed shots.
· There’s marital missed shots.
And we all have witnessed Game 7 NBA basketball missed shots.

Everyone celebrates and cheers for you after every shot you make, but here’s three things you must do after every missed shot in your life:
#1- Look Back at It
#2- Lead Because of It
#3- Learn From It
