It’s so Collier City,
A piece of Pompano’s Black history
These streets are filled with love, it’s no mystery
Kings and queens working hard to earn their means
Back in the day picking beans
The servitude was a testimony to the dreams
The dreams of black homeowners and black business owners today who are doing their thing
Now everything we touch, we bling.
Collier City it’s time to lift every voice and sing!
I’m praying for the spirit of unity
So we can collect our community
From the gun violence and the political indecisiveness
That’s plaguing us
Remember there is hope. We can save us.
We’re a Villij
God made no mistakes when he made us!
