The free one-stop Arrest Sealing and Expungement Workshop hosted by the Broward State Attorney’s Office in Pompano Beach in July was another happy and successful event. To date, 3,228 people have qualified to get an arrest sealed or expunged at our community workshop events. Staff members from the State Attorney’s Office volunteered their time to help members of the community who are legally allowed to seal or expunge one arrest. The team provided guidance and helped applicants to fill out the forms and gather all the necessary paperwork.
“A big thank you to the volunteers from our office, as well as those from the Broward Clerk of Courts, Broward Sheriff’s Office, Broward Public Defender’s Office, the City of Pompano Beach and Mayor Rex Hardin for helping to give so many people a second chance,” the Broward State Attorney’s Office stated in a news release.
The next free one-stop Arrest Sealing and Expungement Workshop will be held on Thursday, October 20, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Oveta McKeithen Recreational Complex, 445 SW 2nd St, Deerfield Beach, FL 33441.
