DUI Checkpoint Set for Deerfield Beach Ahead of Thanksgiving
DEERFIELD BEACH — The Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) has announced a DUI checkpoint in Deerfield Beach this weekend, aiming to ensure community safety ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday. The checkpoint will be conducted by the BSO DUI Task Force and the Deerfield Beach district starting Friday night.
The operation will occur from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. from Friday, Nov. 21, to Saturday, Nov. 22, at Saint Ambrose Church located at 380 S. Federal Hwy. in Deerfield Beach.
The goals of the operation are to identify and apprehend impaired drivers who pose an immediate danger to the public, promote traffic safety and cite traffic violators. BSO urges the public to drive responsibly and make smart choices behind the wheel.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to reduce impaired driving incidents during one of the busiest travel seasons of the year. As families prepare to gather and celebrate, law enforcement is focusing on maintaining safe roads for residents and visitors alike.
