As communities across the country celebrate Women’s History Month, a new generation of young women is stepping into leadership roles in media, business and public life. Among them is Amaryah Jones, a teen radio host, author and youth advocate who is building a growing platform centered on inspiration and storytelling.
Jones is the host of “The Amaryah J Show,” which airs Saturdays at noon on Envision Radio, with a replay on Tuesdays. The globally streamed station highlights faith-based programming and emerging voices in media.
While many young people are still discovering their interests, Jones has already begun carving out a space in broadcasting. In November 2025, she received the Rising Star Award at the IGen Film Festival, recognizing her work as a youth radio personality and her efforts to amplify young voices. She was 12 years old when she received the honor.
Just weeks later, Jones was recognized again at the Generals, Bosses and Bossettas Platinum Awards Gala, where she received the Legendary Icon Boss in Radio Award at age 13.
Beyond hosting her weekly program, Jones is focused on encouraging other young leaders. Through her Youth Spotlight page in Envision Radio Magazine, she highlights young people making positive contributions in entertainment, entrepreneurship and community service.
Her work also extends into speaking engagements and youth empowerment. Jones has appeared at events including a Hardin County NAACP Black History program and a Kentucky Black Caucus event, where she has shared messages about preparation, confidence and believing in one’s abilities. She has also spoken to students in Alabama and Miami, encouraging them as they prepare for academic milestones.
Jones’ journey into public life began early. At just two years old, she earned the title Little Miss Ambassador International, a moment that introduced her to the stage and public speaking. Since then, she has expanded into modeling, independent film and youth-centered media.
Today, Jones describes her mission as encouraging others to use their voice with purpose.
“We all have the ability to create,” Jones said. “So create and let your message heal the world.”
Looking ahead, Jones is continuing to expand her media footprint with additional shows, new speaking opportunities and her first film project currently in development.
As Women’s History Month highlights the achievements of women past and present, young voices like Jones represent the next chapter — one that is already taking shape.
