North Lauderdale Hosts Inaugural State of the City Address

North Lauderdale, FL — The City of North Lauderdale is set to hold its first-ever State of the City Address on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025. Mayor Samson Borgelin will deliver the address at The Polish American Club Polonez, located at 935 Rock Island Rd. The event kicks off with a VIP reception at 6:30 p.m., followed by the formal program from 7 to 9 p.m.

Themed “North Lauderdale Rising: Building Tomorrow Together,” the address will highlight the city’s progress over the past year and outline future initiatives. Mayor Borgelin plans to cover key areas such as public safety, infrastructure, economic development, and youth engagement.

“North Lauderdale is rising, because we are rising together,” said Mayor Borgelin. “Our community has built real momentum, and we will continue to focus on safety, opportunities for families, and infrastructure improvements.”

The event will also honor Vice Mayor Darrel Lewis-Ricketts and Commissioners Luke Lewis, Dr. Regina Martin, and Mario Bustamante.
