Q: I have been with my boyfriend for about five years. When we met he was really rooted in his faith. He didn’t go to church all the time, but he prayed and I could tell that his relationship with God was important. Fast forward to about two months ago, my boyfriend acts like he’s never heard of the Lord. He says that he doesn’t believe in God and that he doesn’t exist. He’s been doing more rituals and I’ve been finding strange things around our house. I’m concerned that my boyfriend is into voodoo. What do I do?

A: It sounds like your boyfriend is going through something. Somehow his faith has been shaken. It sounds like he’s reevaluating his life due to some event — or it could be that he’s always been into this and feels more comfortable expressing it. Either way, it’s about how you feel. Voodoo is often misunderstood, but I know where I stand with it, I’m praise the Lord always… so I’m not going to compromise. You have to decide if him doing a little black or white magic is OK for you.
